The Flightpath Project [2026]

Mission Control is offering a $2500 grant for the production of an independent short snowboard film to one selected applicant (or applicants, if applying as a crew).

 Applicants are required to submit a thorough pitch deck to us.

For this grant, only one pitch will be accepted, but we will keep all pitches on hand for future project consideration. Pitches will be accepted from any snowboarder, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, age, nationality, religion, etc.

The only requirement: You MUST live and breathe snowboarding.

Theme

Snowboarding through new eyes. We’re looking for unique perspectives, places, and people- new ways to look at familiar things. Your pitch should be made up of some or all of these ingredients.

Requirements

Each individual or group applying must submit a thorough pitch deck. Specificity is key.

For the inaugural run of this grant, we are not supplying a pitch deck template.

Please describe in detail who, what, where, when and why. We expect you to paint us a vivid picture of the resources you have available (cameras, filmers, equipment, etc.), what resources you will need to acquire for successful followthrough (lift tickets, flights, etc.), and a loose estimate on how you will spend the grant money.

If you don’t have something you need, tell us.

If you have everything you need already, this grant isn’t for you.

Timeframe

Your project proposal must be feasibly attainable between when we award the grant, and the end of the season where your project takes place.

Pitch Deck Submission Cutoff: February 22nd, 2026

Grant Awarded: February 25th, 2026

Project Completion Date: October 31, 2026

Target Project Length: 6-10 minutes

Other Information

The grant awardee will be required to send routine updates so we can let the world know how your project is going.

In exchange for receiving this grant, Mission Control will get to host the finished project on the Mission Control YouTube Channel and use footage from the project for promotion. Other sponsor logos will generally be allowed on a case-by-case basis, but please communicate to us any brands you receive support from and want to shout-out.
